Service Repair Technician: Responsible for functional testing troubleshooting upgrade modification cleaning calibration and repair of equipment within the Service Repair facility or off site as required.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Receives regularly scheduled high priority and inspection service work orders from the Service Repair Manager

2. Services electronic equipment by checking testing cleaning calibrating and replacing faulty components.

3. Operates common electronic test equipment and utilizes software test and repair applications to effect repairs

4. Performs work according to commonly accepted practices of electronic theory and principles.

5. Utilizes available ESD devices (smock / wrist strap / shoe strap) to ensure an ESD safe work environment and to protect equipment

6. Documents the parts and materials utilized for each repair / service request.

7. For Service or Repair actions exceeding pre-established cost limits on a product contact the customer to ascertain repair/unit exchange/return options.

8. Fabricate parts as required using machine and hand tools common to the trade.

9. Reports corrective actions taken to the Lead Technician / Service Repair Manager.

10. Provides technical information as needed to other service team members and personnel.

11. Assists support team by providing answers to technical questions from customers as needed when no support team members are available to take calls.

12. On an as needed basis work on the Production Line in support of large or high priority production / sales orders.

13. Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Certification of training from an Electronics training facility or school a plus (i.e. ITT DeVry) Minimum of 1 year experience working in an electronics repair department preferred.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with gaming/slot equipment.
