Quality Assurance Inspector Levell II
Position Summary
Provide quality assurance inspection support for non-critical parts to ensure the integrity and quality of materials received from external vendors as well as final products produced internally.
Essential Functions
-
Perform thorough inspections of incoming raw materials finished goods hardware processed parts from vendors and customer-supplied materials

Verify all required documentation is received and complies with purchase order requirements

Conduct in-process inspections throughout the manufacturing cycle from first article through final inspection in a fast-paced environment

Perform and verify first article inspections

Audit production jobs for compliance
-
Initiate Statistical Process Control (SPC) and conduct Work-In-Progress (WIP) inspections as applicable

Ensure all operations listed on job travelers are completed and properly signed off

Perform dimensional and visual inspections based on customer purchase orders blueprints drawings checklists and part lists

Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and/or dimensional inspection reports as required

Verify part marking and proper packaging
-
Ensure all required documentation accompanies outgoing shipments

Utilize basic computer systems and manufacturing software

Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills Knowledge and Experience
-
3–5 years of inspection experience in a plastic and/or metallic machine shop environment
-
Familiarity with quality standards and internal audit procedures preferred
-
Proficiency in inspection tools and calibration procedures including tool recall processes

Ability to operate Comparator and Micro-Vu equipment with minimal supervision

Basic computer proficiency

Stand or sit for extended periods

Bend at the waist and knees

Lift and move objects up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 25 lbs occasionally (assistance available for heavier items)
Work Environment

Machine shop setting with exposure to large equipment and machinery

Clean and well-ventilated production areas

Moderate noise levels
